Bhubaneswar, Dec 14 – Young Astronomer Talent Search ( YATS ) over the years has evolved as a platform igniting young minds to think out of the box, and kindle their interest in the field of astronomy, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said

Congratulating all the students who participated in the activities organised as part of Young Astronomers Talent Search here on Wednesday, Patnaik said YATS will continue to play its role as a platform for students to identify, nurture and develop talents in space sciences.

It will also create a community of scholars in Odisha who can contribute to its development on a sustainable basis,the Chief Minister said and congratulated the district toppers who are selected for the finals and the Top 20 winners.

This programme, he said is a befitting homage to the great son of Odisha, Pathani Samanta, as it continues to attract more and more students to the field of science and astronomy.

Patnaik also congratulated the Tata Steel and Pathani Samanta Planetarium for conducting this unique event successfully year after year and wished the programme the very best for its future editions.
