Nashik, Nov 28 – Six people, including two brothers, died on the spot and four were injured in two separate accidents near Manmad in the district. The incident happened on Sunday night.
Rural police said in the first incident, five people died on the spot when a car collided head-on with a container near Manmad on Manmad-Yeola Road. They were going to Nashik after taking a darshan of God Mhasoba at Kundalgaon, near Manmad.
The deceased were identified as Shrayes Dhanavate, Ganesh Sonawane, Lalit Sonawane, Rohit Dhanavate, and Pratik Naik.
In another incident, a car driver died on the spot and four were injured when their car was hit by a container on Manmad-Malegaon road near Chondi ghat, near Manmad city in the district, on Sunday.
The victims were proceeding to Shirdi for Sai Baba Darshan, the police added.
