Chennai, Oct 26: Piaggio Vehicles Private Ltd (PVPL), a 100% subsidiary of the Italian auto giant Piaggio Group and a leading manufacturer of small commercial vehicles in India, has unveiled the Apé E-city FX NE Max, an all-new passenger 3-wheeler electric vehicle (EV). This vehicle is the first Piaggio 3-wheeler passenger EV to receive approval from the state transport authority in Tamil Nadu, marking its official entry into the market.

The launch event featured the unveiling of the Apé E-city FX NE Max by Mr. Diego Graffi, Chairman and MD, and Mr. Amit Sagar, EVP – Commercial Vehicles, Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd.

As pioneers in India’s 3W EV revolution, Piaggio Vehicles aims to transform Tamil Nadu’s EV landscape with the introduction of the Apé E-city FX NE Max. This 3W passenger EV promises to revolutionize last-mile passenger transportation by prioritizing sustainability, earning potential, higher driving range, and cost-effectiveness. Notably, the EV is fully assembled by an all-women team at Piaggio’s Baramati factory.

Mr. Diego Graffi expressed excitement about introducing an industry-first EV in the passenger vehicle segment, emphasizing that the Apé E-city FX NE Max represents the future of sustainable and economical urban mobility. The vehicle is designed to meet the evolving needs of customers, providing a clean and green mode of transportation while enhancing the overall travel experience.
