Mumbai, Oct 26: Mumbai police arrested a 58-year-old woman for selling property worth Rs 100 crores to a real estate developer without informing her cousins, who had an equal stake in it, according to the police.

The two-acre property sold by Abida Jaffar Ismail is located in Lower Parel of south Mumbai.
The property encompasses three pre-existing tenanted buildings.

The general cheating cell of Mumbai police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) took up the case and arrested Abida from a hotel room in Mysuru, Karnataka, her hometown.
Abida was subsequently presented before the 47th Metropolitan Court, which remanded her to judicial custody.
