Chennai, Oct 26 — In a shocking incident, two petrol bombs were thrown at the gates of Tamil Nadu Raj Bhavan, the residence of Governor R.N.Ravi. The attack took place in the afternoon, with miscreants attempting to breach the main gate. Quick-acting security personnel prevented their entry, but the assailants managed to hurl two petrol bombs before fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported, and one person has been detained in connection with the incident. The motive behind the attack is speculated to be differences between the Governor and the ruling DMK.
