Mumbai, Dec 4 – Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, who is determined to make Mumbai clean, beautiful and pollution-free, on Sunday launched the Deep Clean campaign in city.

The Chief Minister started the mega cleanliness drive this morning from Dharavi T-Junction and then it

continued at Sion, Kamala Nehru Park, Banganga, BIT Chawl Parisar, and the campaign lasted for almost six hours till noon.

During this visit, he inspected internal roads, drains, road-cleaning works and interacted with the conservancy workers.

The Chief Minister praised the sanitation workers by calling them real heroes of Mumbai.

He made an appeal to public saying that Mumbai’s cleanliness campaign should become a people’s movement.
