Nagpur, Dec 13 – Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Tuesday announced in the Maharashtra Assembly that the kins of the four dead Warkaris will be given Rs five lakh as financial assistance and also that the government will bear cost of treatment of injured in this incident.


Notably, four Warkaris were killed in a road accident on the Nashik-Pune highway on December three. The devotees were coming from Shirdi to Alandi for the Sanjeevan Samadhi ceremony of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj on that day when a speeding container ran into a palanquin going from opposite direction in Khandarmalwadi area of ​​Sangamner taluka, killing four and injuring eight others.


Balasaheb Thorat, a senior member of the Legislative Assembly, raised this issue in the lower house.
