Kolhapur, Dec 12 – The flying squad of State Excise department seized India made foreign liquor worth lakhs of rupees from a luxury car on Mumbai-Goa national highway at Ratnagiri and detained the car driver in this connection.


Acting on a reliable information, the Excise officials tried to stop a luxury car on suspicion on Monday, but car driver sped away.

Then, the team gave a thrilling chase and succeeded in stopping the car. During search of the vehicle, they found 81 boxes of IMFL manufactured in Goa. The team seized all boxes along with car, collectively worth Rs 16,65,120. They have detained suspected car driver in this connection, a press release said here.
