Srinagar, Nov 27 – Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) R R Swain emphasized on Monday that the fight against militancy is ongoing, stating that “the war against terrorism will continue despite facing some losses at times.” Speaking to reporters after paying respects at Gurudwara Chatti Padshahi in Srinagar on the occasion of Gurpurab, the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, Swain stated, “The war is not fully over. It ends when one side acknowledges that bloodshed will not take them anywhere.” He added that the security forces are committed to minimizing losses to the public while continuing the fight against terrorism.

Swain addressed the issue of infiltration across the border, noting that it varies in different areas and is a strategic matter that cannot be discussed publicly. The DGP affirmed that there is no question of backing down from the war against militancy, emphasizing the commitment to the cause despite challenges.
