Mumbai, Dec 16 – The Central Railway’s determined efforts to turn scrap into revenue have yielded impressive results by registering scrap sales of Rs 248.07 crore as on November 30, 2023, which is a remarkable 82.69 per cent of the sales target of Rs 300 crore.
This indicates a remarkable increase of 34.09 per cent as against proportionate sale target of Rs 185 crore, which is higher than the proportionate sales target for the period.
This is the highest percentage increase in scrap sales among all Zonal Railways, a press release said here on Friday.
