Telangana, Nov 27: In a heart-wrenching incident, a student of IIIT-Basara in Nirmal, Telangana, identified as Praveen Kumar, reportedly took his own life on Sunday. The incident occurred in the student’s hostel room, where he was found hanging from the ceiling.

Praveen Kumar, a resident of Nagarkurnool, had recently embarked on his academic journey at IIIT-Basara and was in the first year of a five-year integrated engineering course. The reasons behind this extreme step remain unclear, and the police have initiated an investigation into the matter.

Upon receiving the information, the police promptly registered a case and transferred Praveen Kumar’s body to the Bhainsa government hospital for post-mortem procedures. The tragic incident has cast a pall of gloom over the IIIT-Basara community.
