Hamirpur (HP), Dec 8 – India is going to become the world’s most developed nation in 2047, on the centenary of its independence, senior BJP leader Prem Kumar Dhumal said in Bhakeda of Hamirpur district on Thursday.

Addressing people during the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra,Dhumal said: “In the 75 years of the country’s independence, we used to hear that India was a backward country and then it became a developing country. Today, we are fortunate that we have a leadership who is announcing and also wants a resolution from us that we will make India the most developed nation in the world by the year 2047. This journey is going from one Panchayat to another with this resolution of Prime Minister Modi”.

The former Chief Minister said Modi had pointed out at the beginning of his prime ministerial stint that success is achieved through determination and he also demonstrated it by achieving it. “The whole world has seen that whatever resolutions he took, he fulfilled them. Today we all have to take a pledge that in the resolution taken by Prime Minister Modi to make India a developed country, we all will contribute as much as we can with strong willpower,” he said.

The former Chief Minister said that the yatra being run by the Government of India will visit 2 lakh 69 thousand panchayats.
