Nashik, Oct 17: In a tragic incident late Monday night, two drivers lost their lives, and two others sustained injuries in a head-on collision between a truck and a milk tanker at Karanji Ghat on the Kalyan-Nirmal road in Pathardi taluka, Ahmednagar district.
The victims, identified as Nanasaheb Bhawar (resident of Kathunge tal. Pathardi) and Javed Sheikh (resident of Vihamandwa tal. Paithan), died on the spot. The injured, Rishikesh Motkar and Ganesh Gabhur, are reported to be in serious condition.
The collision occurred around 12:30 am, involving a truck transporting peanuts from Paithan to the city and an empty milk tanker heading to Karanji. The head-on collision at Karanji Ghat resulted in significant damage to both vehicles.
Emergency services were deployed promptly, and the injured were rushed to the hospital for medical attention. The police are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
