Nagpur, Dec 16 – Bahujan Welfare Minister Atul Save on Friday told the Maharashtra Assembly that any alleged irregularities in fund allocation of ongoing Vasantrao Naik Tanda Vasti Improvement Scheme in the state will be investigated by a secretary-level official and action will be taken against culprits.

While replying to a question raised by member Santosh Bangar in the lower house through Lakshvedhi about alleged irregularities in allocation of funds for the Tanda Vasti Improvement Scheme, he said that under this scheme, basic amenities such as drinking water, electrification, construction of latrines, drainage, approach roads, community temples and libraries etc. are being done on priority basis.

Following the demands of the people’s representatives, the work of laying paver blocks along internal roads has been included with approval of the government, he informed.
The works under this scheme are approved by the collector and only approved works are funded by the government, the minister said.
