Nagpur, Dec 8 – Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday visited Tarsa Nimkheda village in Mauda taluka of the district and reviewed damage caused by recent unseasonal rains.

Besides Mauda taluka, large-scale damage has also been reported in Ramtek Parshivani taluka. In Nagpur district, around 124 villages have been affected by rain, 852 hectares of crops have been damaged.

In Mauda taluka, paddy is the most damaged crop. Apart from paddy, cotton and oranges have also been damaged in the district. Ministers Dhananjay Munde, Anil Patil, along with elected representatives and officials were present on occasion.
