Nashik, Oct 25: A six-year-old boy has been killed in a leopard attack in Borkund village of Maharashtra’s Dhule district, officials said on Wednesday.

After the Tuesday evening incident, angry villagers started a rasta roko agitation on Shirud-Borkund Chauphuli, expressing their anger at the forest department’s actions. Due to this, the traffic on the highway was stopped for some time.

Meanwhile, an atmosphere of grief prevailed in the village following the incident which happened on the day of Dussehra itself.

The victim,, identified as Swami Deepak Rokade, was playing in the field when the leopard suddenly attacked and killed him. On Sunday too, a ferocious animal picked up and killed an eight-month-old baby girl in front of her mother, who was working in the fields, in Nandale Budruk Shiwar.
