Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Dec 18 – As the government wants to extend the deadline for providing Maratha reservation, the government delegation Saturday night went to Galaxy Superspeciality Hospital here and met quota activists Manoj Jarange-Patil.


State cabinet Minister Girish Mahajan and EGS Minister and District Guardian Minister Sandipan Bhumre met Jarange-Patil and discussed the Maratha reservation issue.
Currently, Jarange-Patil is touring the state and creating public awareness in the Maratha community on the demand for reservations.


He was admitted to Galaxy Superspeciality Hospital for a health check-up.
Earlier Jarange-Patil has given an ultimatum of December 24 to the government to give Maratha reservation.
He had demanded that the government should present its position on December 17, after which he said he would decide the direction of the further agitation.
Against the backdrop of his demand, the government delegation met him and asked for an extension of time while the attention of the state and the country is on what will happen after December 24.
In the discussion of the delegation, Jarange-Patil said that the time given by the government should be respected. He said that the government should keep its word to withdraw the cases against community youths.


While Mahajan told him to take it slowly. The ultimatum given on 24 December should be considered. The government is working on the issue of reservation. Jarange-Patil should not hold on to the date of December 24. Mahajan has given confidence to him that the government is going to give reservation to the Maratha community. The government will give 100 percent permanent reservation to the Maratha community. Work on a reservation is going on fast, he assured.


Jarange-Patil expressed his satisfaction with the work of the government. Mahajan said the Maratha community will get reservation of rights and the work of reservation is in the final stage. A discussion has started in the political circle that Mahajan is considered to be the problem solver of BJP, he met Jarange-Patil and asked for more time.
