Hyderabad, Dec 9 – Telangana former Chief Minister K Chandra Shekhar Rao (KCR) who was admitted in a hospital with hip injury in the morning, has undergone operation of left ‘ total hip replacement ‘ at a corporate hospital here on Friday afternoon.
The surgery was performed by senior orthopaedic surgeons, anesthesiologists and nurses, Yashoda hospitals said in a health bulletin here tonight.
He was stable haemodyamically throughout the procedure.
The 69- year- old KCR has been shifted to the room after successfully completing the surgery and is presently recuperating in his room.
He is receiving post operative case including IV fluids, prophylactic antibiotics and pain medication.
Planned for ambulation, physiotherapy and nutrition will be designed based on assessment tomorrow.
The usual course of recovery is expected to be 6-8 weeks, the release added.
Meanwhile Telangana Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan while posting on ‘X’ said “anguished to know that honourable former CM KCR garu sustained an injury. I wish and pray for his early recovery and good health.” She added.
