Mumbai, Dec 1 – State Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis reviewed the work of floating solar on Jayakwadi dam at Paithan in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district, the international convention center in DMIC, Waluj to Shendra over the bridge, and also gave instructions to speed up these development works.

According to the official press statement issued on Thursday night, stated that a review meeting regarding development work at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar under his chairmanship was held at Sahyadri Guest House in the presence of Union Minister of State for Finance, Dr Bhagwat Karad, Thursday evening.

Fadnavis informed that, National Thermal Energy Corporation Limited (NTPC’s) and Maharashtra have agreed to start a 1200 MW floating solar project above Jayakwadi Dam in Paithan.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be entered into between the governments.

Also, an agency should be appointed immediately to conduct a survey on bird sanctuaries and the environment, and a survey should be conducted through private organisations regarding the environment, local-level problems, bird sanctuaries, and reservations. And this report should be sent to the state government after receiving it.

After that, the report will be sent to the Central Government, and follow-up will be done with the Central Government regarding environmental clearance. Such instructions have been given to the officials concerned on this occasion by Fadnavis.
