Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Dec 9 – BJP led by its Maharashtra state general secretary Sanjay Kenekar on Friday held protest agitation at Waluj near here against insult heaped on freedom fighter Swatantravir Vinayak Damodar Savarkar by Priyank Kharge, the son of Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge.
Priyank is a Minister in the Congress Government of Karnataka.
Kharge has said that the oil painting of freedom fighter Savarkar should be removed from the Karnataka Assembly.
After this statement, BJP activists held protest across the different parts in the state .
They claimed that Kharge insulted Vir Savarkar who had laid down his life for the freedom of the country.
