Pune, November 20: The fourth edition of the Deccan Literature Festival 2023, organized by the Dakani Adab Foundation, is set to take place at the Bal Gandharva Rang Mandir in Pune on November 25 and November 26.

The two-day festival, open to all with prior registration on deccanlitfest.com, will feature distinguished authors, acclaimed actors, and folk artists. Attendees can experience ghazals, Hindustani poetry, qawwalis, debates, and dynamic theater performances.

The inauguration on November 25 will feature National award-winning actor Saurabh Shukla, Divisional Commissioner of Pune Saurabh Rao, IPS Krishna Prakash, theater director Padma Waman Kendre, and former president of Akhil Bhartiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan Vasant Abaji Dahake.

Key programs include a Coffee Table Talk, Marathi poetry session, panel discussions, folk art performances, and a closing Grand Mushaira. The second day highlights conversations with Devdutt Pattanaik and Sudha Menon, a round table on Marathi literature, drama, poetry, and a Sufi Musical Evening.

Monika Singh, the festival’s curator, emphasized the diverse offerings for all age groups and the positive audience response received over the years.
